Beginning Of The End Ver 1 by Systematic Systematic - Beginning Of The End ver 1 guitar tab Band: Systematic Album: Somewhere in Between Song: "Beginning of the End," Track #2. Alright guys, this song has a peculiar tone or chord shape or something that just doesn't sound normal to me. I tabbed it out just using straight power chords and it sounds good, but if any of you know of another way to play it let me know. I've got the notes right, I just think that he's using a bizarre voicing of the same chords. Anyways, drop your guitar down two whole steps and here it is, just using power chords. Intro (Riff 1) c--|------------------------------|-------------- G--|------------------------------|-------------- Eb-|.----------------------------.|-------------- Bb-|.-5-5-5-5-3-5----------------.|-------------- F--|--5-5-5-5-3-5--(quarter rest)-|-------------- C--|--3-3-3-3-1-3-----------------|-------------- Intro Part 2 (Riff 2) c--|------------------------------------------| G--|------------------------------------------| Eb-|.----------------------------------------.| Bb-|.-5-5-5-5-3-5------------5-5-7-7-9-9-9-9-.| F--|--5-5-5-5-3-5-(1/4 rest)------------------| C--|--3-3-3-3-1-3------------3-3-5-5-7-7-7-7--| First Verse (Riff 3) (lightly palm muted) the last time you play this at the end of the verse, let the last chord ring c---|-----------------------| G---|-----------------------| Eb--|.---------------------.| Bb--|.---------------------.| F---|--5--3--7--5--3--7--5--| C---|--3--1--5--3--1--5--3--| Pre chorus: play riff 3, but don't palm mute. Although you're not palm muting, don't let the notes ring. Pick with quick, short, loud jabs. Chorus (rhythm not shown; listen for the changes) c-------|-----------------------| G-------|-----------------------| Eb------|.---------4---5-4-5-4-.| Bb-7b(9)|.-5---7---4-----4---4-.| F-------|--5---7---2-----2---2--| C-------|--3---5----------------| *7b(9) means to bend the seventh fret of that string so that it's pitch matches that of the ninth fret (a full bend.) Second Verse: Riff 3, without any palm muting. play pre chorus, chorus Bridge @ 2:26 (rhythm not shown, listen for the changes) c---------------------------- G---------------------------- Eb--------1210-10-10-------- Bb-9-9-9--1210-10-10--9--7-- F--9-9-9--10 8--8--8--9--7-- C--7-7-7---------------7--5-- Short Interlude: just play the intro (riff 1) The SOLO Under the solo, the rhythm guitar plays this: c--|----------3X------------|------------------ G--|------------------------|------------------ Eb-|.----------------------.|------------------ Bb-|.-5-5-5-5-3-5----------.|-5-5-7-7-9-9-9-9-- F--|--5-5-5-5-3-5-(1/4 rest)|------------------ C--|--3-3-3-3-1-3-----------|-3-3-5-5-7-7-7-7-- and at the end of the solo, switches to this: Bb-|.-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-7-.| F--|.-5-5-5-5-5-5-5-7-.| C--|--3-3-3-3-3-3-3-5--| Solo (with a tremolo effect or something) c------------------------------------------ G-----------------------------14-----12---- Eb-13~----11-14-13~----11-14------13----11- Bb----------------------------------------- F------------------------------------------ C------------------------------------------ c------------------------------------------ G--10-----9-----7-----5-----3-----1-------- Eb-----9-----8-----6-----4-----2-----0----- Bb----------------------------------------- F------------------------------------------ C------------------------------------------ c-------------------------------------17b-- G---14-----12------10-----9-----/19~------- Eb-----13------11------9-----8------------- Bb----------------------------------------- F------------------------------------------ C------------------------------------------ Alright guys, finish up with the chorus a couple times and that's more or less it.
